Accolades is a student-run fine-dining restaurant at TRU. This hidden gem offers some of the best cuisine in Canada. Accolades has been awarded the “stars of excellence” year after year from the national restaurant guide, Where to Eat in Canada.
Accolades Dining Room is a teaching restaurant for the Culinary Arts program at Thomspon Rivers University, where student learning and real-world experience come together. Our culinary philosophy is rooted in seasonality, sustainability, and showcasing local ingredients, creating menus that reflect the flavours of our region.
At Accolades, senior culinary students take the lead in planning, preparing, and executing full dining service under the guidance of experience chef instructors. This hands-on environment allows students to develop both their technical skills and professionalism in a live restaurant setting.
Our program is known for producing highly skilled graduates who are well prepared for the demands of the industry. Through practical, real-world training, students gain the confidence and experience needed to succeed in professional kitchens. Accolades offers guests a unique dining experience, an opportunity to enjoy thoughtfully prepared cuisine while supporting the next generation of culinary professionals.
