Connect with students through employer info sessions

The Career & Experiential Learning department (CEL) at TRU offers employers a chance to have personalized experiences with students through employer-specific info sessions. Due to the centralized career and co-op system at TRU, we can offer you access to students from every discipline through a single point of contact.

Employer info sessions are around 1 hour in length and can be held virtually or in-person on our campus.

To schedule an employer info session at TRU, contact the Career & Experiential Learning team at cel_marcom@tru.ca or 250-371-5627.

Over 50 employers participated in info sessions in 2023

How can my organization get involved on campus?

Your organization can participate in events we hold on campus, such as the TRU Job Fair, a CEL industry event, or the TRUSU Back to School BBQ.

Sponsor a Career & Experiential Learning industry event

Sponsoring a CEL event elevates your organization in the eyes of future professionals. Our annual events, such as Natural Resources Night, Accounting Night and Finance Night, create valuable networking opportunities for students exploring career paths. As a sponsor, you position your organization as a top choice among prospective employees.

Contact us at cel_marcom@tru.ca to inquire about sponsoring a CEL industry event.

Back to School BBQ

Hosted annually on the first Friday in September, the TRUSU Back to School BBQ attracts thousands of new and returning students to TRU’s Campus Commons and is an amazing opportunity to connect with potential future employees or clients. The sponsorship packages for this event are posted in an article on TRUSU News in the beginning of July each year and applications are accepted until the third week of August.
